I was hoping this was where we would play. I like that field and it is 5 minutes off the tollway which runs to Prosper now. We played Robinson there and it is a much quicker trip if you want to go the fast way.

What is Celina's record at Pennington field over the years? I've personally witnessed 4 beat downs from the opposing sidelines.

I think we have only lost one there in the last 10 years or so. Daingerfield in 03 when our kicker missed an extra point.
Ben may.... Poor guy. That was the game that ended the streak. He had turned his plant foot pretty bad. When he tried the last kick he just pulled the kick.

Daingerfield/Celina in 03 was not at Pennington, it was at Williams in Garland.

Your right it was Williams. YOu know what I remember from that game. Talk about the big head. I remember thinking I would skip this game and go to the next one. There was no next one. 68 wins had really snuck up on all of us. You just cant imagine what that was like. I still remember it. All too easy to get arrogant.
Well we paid for it then. That is why I may be direct in my dissection of someone elses game I am very circumspect in what I will say or think about mine.

The last game I remember losing at Pennington was to Italy (before "The Streak" began).

Just a guess but I bet that we have played 20 game there since then, counting a few week 0 FCA Kick-Off Classics.

Correct. It was the quarterfinals in 97. Italy won 28-20.

A sidenote on this game. Keith Davis (DB now with the Cowboys) was a standout for Italy in this game.

Italy (17-10)

00
Hillsboro (35-7)
Goldwaithe (38-7)
Cooper (41-14)
Whitewright (31-14)

We were supposed to play Deleon in 03 at Pennington. However, Deleon refused to play us again after the first game (they had 4 or 5 key injuries in the game and lost 56-0).

This left Celina scrambling to fill its first game in 03. We ended up playing Houston Christian in Waco and won 43-22.

After seeing the forecast I sure hope Celina is. That north wind and a high in the 40's on Friday with a chance of rain will sure make for a cold visitor stands.

I think he was referring to the proximity of Williams in Garland to the end of George Bush.

Or maybe he has a really fast helicopter he takes from the tollway to Pennington!

I don't know where it was that Crawford put the beat down on Celina in 2004

In 2005 Celina got revenge and put a major beat down on Crawford at Pennington

It was at that game that a bunch of old piggies almost got into a brawl with some yahoo that wouldn't sit down

Crawford defeated Celina (on their way to a state championship) in Burleson.

Allow me to clarify. 190 runs all the way to 161 which in turn dumps out on 183 just east of DFW. From there it is 5 or 6 minutes to the Pennington exit if traffic is not heavy.

At 3:00 am it may only be 5 minutes from the west end of the Bush to Pennington but at rush hour trying to get there to get a good seat with a back not too high there aint no way.

It takes 20 minutes just to get onto 183 from where the backup starts on the Bush much less fight the traffic on 183.

Love the stadium but hate getting there from here.

When I went to the FCA game I left Frisco at 6 and got to the game at 6:40. Bout 10 minutes of it were on 183. Guess it depends on the time of year. I think this week ought to be easy enough seeing as how most people are going to be off.

Well I was flyin a little. But the speed limit is 65 all the way on the toll way and traffic
is not that bad. I kept it under 75.

You were still blessed with easy traffic!

I drive Bush to 183 several times a week.

Usually between 3 and 6.

It is horrible!
