  Congrats to the Sealy Tigers on a great game!!! Score was 14-12 for a long time. Understand Giddings scored with 1:05 left in the game to put it away. :(

It sure wasn't the blow out everyone was expecting!! Mitchell had his team ready and I'm sorry they couldn't pull it out, but they never gave up!

Congrats to Giddings.

I hope Fitzhenry is at full strength next week. I don't want to hear any Giddings poster whine about "...how the game would've gone if Brock was 100%..."

The way he was favoring it when he came out to hold for the last XP, it looked more like a hammy or something than an ankle. Giddings better hope ol' Brock gets better by next week, 'cause they are not near as good offensively with #7 at QB. He actually threw the ball better than #5 tonight, but had a couple of good passes dropped by his receivers. For Giddings, tonight's story was the defense. Sealy's OL couldn't handle #91 and when they double teamed him, Giddings brought a very effective blitz. I imagine there are a lot of Giddings fans wringing out their shirts on the way home, because with 1:27 left it was 14-12 and they never expected Sealy to hang with their kids for that long.

Good job Sealy. Not into moral victories but you put up one heck of a fight. Mitchell has something working over in Sealy. Look out for them in the future.

Just got home from the game. :(

The Tiger Defense put up one heck of a fight tonight!
Giddings had several turnovers, but our offense just couldn't get it done.
Giddings defense was just too much for our OL.

The Tiger's Offense never quit though, right up to the end, those boys kept fighting.

Sealy fans are proud of their TIGERS!

To the 2007 Tigers::cheerl: :cheerl:
No one thought that you could have a season like you did.
Nor did anyone expect tonight's game to be as close as it was.
(Not quite the blowout that everyone said it would be)
We're proud of you, SEALY TIGERS for playing so hard.
Great job, Coach Mitchell and staff!! We can't wait till next year!!
TIGERS, we love ya! :inlove:

Congratulations Giddings, hope your QB is going to be ok. Good luck next week.
(probably come cheer you on at next week's game.)

Mitchell is a hell of a defensive coach. I knew he would have his kids ready for this game!! I just wish I could have been there to see it!!

It killed me that some of the Sealy fans weren't giving him a chance early on, but I'm glad he & the staff got the kids to respond to them and they went on the run they had!!

This one stung a little. 7-0 at the half and we had the #1 ranked team right where we wanted them...FRUSTRATED! Giddings got called for multiple illegal procedure penalties in the 2nd Half...but what killed us was Quinn Taylor's (#30) conversion on 3rd and 8 late in the game. That seemed to suck the life right out of our defense.

Sealy impressed the blank out of me. They could hang with any team in district 23. Sealy has some really good players.

Mitchell made sure he had someone put some wood on Brock every play whether he had the ball or not. Some shots were a bit cheap especialy after the play was dead. At first the Refs let 'em play but later they called a couple of personal fouls and then ejected a player.

I noticed in pre-game warmups, he had about 1/2 the team stand at the 50 and watch Brock warmup.

Gidding's D was awesome when they had to be. They really did more than their part.

The buffaloes should have been giving #7 more snaps in the games where they were leading in the 4th. His arm is really good. They just need to practice passing and receiving this week.

Crimestick

Should be a defensive battle if WO-S advances today. Giddings is allowing just under 12 points per game and WO-S is allowing just over 8.

hes very accurate, but like i said, dont put it past Giddings if backed into a corner to move Brock to wideout and Locke to quarterback. With Lockes arm and Brock's speed, thats a deadly combo.

They dont have either QB next week, at least for a half, Fitz is out, some say its a torn lig in his ankle. #7 was ejected from the game as well when the Sealy player was ejected, so he has to sit out at least a half next week, if they follow the same rules as everyone else!

second half...who told you it was a torn ligament...and if so...is it a planting ligament or a cutting ligament...cause they could always use brock as reciever if its a cutting ligament...let him the speed to kill the defenses...and thats true i think about #7...if he was ejected then he would be out at least a half...i know when i got ejected i was out for the whole game and i was kicked out in the first half...if thats the case...i call on Berry to don the single digit jersey...lol...from quarterback to tackle back to quarterback...if the line protects...look forward with him in the game to put it 60 yards downfield...

If WO-S advances today, it should be interesting to see Giddings adjust against the WO-S defense, which is one of the best in 3A (second overall behind Rio Hondo in points allowed per game - 8.3) compared to Sealy, which gave up an average of 19.1 coming in Friday night. I'm not saying "you're in trouble," I'm just saying it should be fun to watch an exciting offense face up against the best D (statistically) that they've seen, especially with the star's status in limbo.

bufflongago
11-17-2007, 12:17 PM
do they have a sound passing defense...i know that sounds funny asking about passing and relating it to giddings offense but i think its time giddings dusts off that section of the playbook and uses it a little bit this week if they want to keep that d on its heels and out of the box where giddings loves to run its plays...

thats good defense then...lol...i want everyone healthy for this rematch...should be a great defensive game in my eyes and it will all rest on turnovers and special teams...i believe the offenses will be held in check for most of the game...hows that WOS offense looking?

props to giddings for the win. I'm glad some people are giving sealy a little bit of credit for sticking with them thoe. As far as brocks injury goes, when i shook his hand on the fifty after the game he was crying, i think, don't no in pain or what

You're absolutely right. I'm not saying he had no right to be sad. I was on the field about 25 yards away when he was lying on the ground. It's always sad when Seniors don't get the opportunity to go out the way they want to.
