just wondering because ...well,
Gainesville plays Whitesboro this weeek, and im pretty sure that even Gainesvilles 3rd team offense could score 50 points on them. Im certain that after the 1st quarter the backups will go in, then prolly at the half the 3rd teamers will get playing time.

I don't know the answer Monkey, but I bet if they really wanted too. Gainesville, Celina, and Pilot Point could rack up 200 between them this weekend. That would probably be some kind of District record. :p District 9 play is all but over, just like last year.

Not sure if it's a 3A record, but Orangefield beat Kountze 99 to 0 back in the early 80's. It actually could have been worse than that.

Just to let you know the most lopsided playoff game is in 2003. Everman 78, Lake Dallas 0...eclipsed the Sealy game by 2 points.

Back in the late 70s (1978 season if I remember my Tarpon history right) Port Isabel beat Hidalgo 86-6.

Also, my senior year (1994 season) we beat Santa Rosa 74-6

Back in the 70's, Barbers Hill beat Deweyville 99-0. They were considered 2A back then, so I guess it really doesn't count.

That was a good game the Bostic kid was a running back and I believe plays for New Mexico State- Not much defense with the football running up and down the field --BUT fun to watch-
