Sorry I disappointed you

Besides we all know that's not possible

That might be your worst bet. Continue south on I45 to Hardy Toll road, pay the $1.25 and THEN exit 1960 and go east.
Another option is I45 south to SH 242 ( Needham Road), go east to 59, then south to Humble.

I gave options

I have no idea which one he thought was best

242 better than 1314?

In the past Conroe is when traffic backed up on 45

Just wanting options in case I need them

My bad. 1960's the way I always take. It's maybe a 10-min drive from Conroe.

And ronwerl;kajfdx, it all depends on the time of day. If it's 1 PM (I'm guessing on a Saturday), don't worry about taking the toll road. You should be fine on 1960.

Not really anything you can do about the backup at Conroe unless you went east to 59 at Huntsville. The traffic problems are usually northbound in the PM, not too bad southbound.

I'm not sure where 1314 is, does that go south from 242?

I live just on the south side of 242, west of I45.

1314 heads southeast out of Conroe to 59

1314 crosses 242

I just wasn't sure if there was a better way to get from 45 to Humble

I'll be leaving early enough I'll have plenty of time

Now I know where 1314 is.

I really don't think you will have a huge problem with Conroe southbound in the afternoon. I drive northbound through Conroe one day a week at about 3:30 pm and it takes me only an extra 15-20 minutes. Southbound is not a problem.

Depending on time of day, you can even go in further into Houston and hit Beltway 8 and take that east. It is just south of the Humble Football Field.

Beltway has no lights till you get to 59. I took that last year when we played WOS in Humble. I was coming in from Arlington. Other than a wrekc in the woodlands, it was a breeze.

1960 has tons of stop lights and you'll be hitting X-MAS shopping traffic on it.
