Navarro was selected Monday to participate in the Pilgrim's Pride Bowl — its first bowl game in six seasons.
The Bulldogs, who won the Southwest Junior College Football Conference championship, face Georgia Military (9-1), Dec. 8 at 1 p.m. in Mount Pleasant. The game will be televised on Fox Sports Southwest.
Navarro (8-3) has outscored opponents 124-56 in its last three games and won seven of its last eight.
The Bulldogs beat Kilgore in the SWJCFC championship game, 54-28. Navarro could have also been selected to the Heart of Texas Bowl in Copperas Cove, which the same bowl game it played in 2001, the Bulldogs' last bowl appearance.
The Bulldogs are 7-5-1 all-time in bowl games.
Navarro is familiar with the Georgia Military Bulldogs, last season it beat them, 17-3.
