I plan on watching one of your teams in the second round against either Cleveland or Kirbyville. Being a big fan of football from SE Texas I saw both of your teams' stats. It looks like both teams have dominant rushers: Carter (1,664 yds) from Columbus and Canto (1,662 yds) and Sims (869 yds) and Ofczarzak (432 yds) from Caldwell. I'm guessing Wing T offenses with Caldwell running some option? I guess it could be the I or veer. Heck, it may be spread. Sounds like it should be a great game between you two schools.

Slot T? must be a lot of misdirection. Bet they have good speed. How good is Canto?

Cantu didn't look to impressive vs. a good defense in Giddings when I saw him. Yes they do some misdirection stuff.

Caldwell runs this formation a lot:

......... ...B
.....WB . QB . WB
TE .. T G C G T .. TE

I call it a double nasty slot.

A Caldwell is the fastest team from huddle to snap I have ever seen, usually 3-5 sec.

I know one time I looked at the play clock and it said 5 with them still in huddle and I am thinking delay, they snaped the ball at 2.
Last week they were all set for a second:D

Sounds dangerous! Giddings is the only team to slow them down? Oh, I just saw the score. Giddings 21 Caldwell 7

Is Giddings that good on defense or was that just a bad game for Caldwell? Or a combination of both? Does Caldwell have a big Oline or undersized and quick?

in past years it's been a 3-3-5

Did Giddings stick with the 3-3-5 against Caldwell or did they go 6-2 man? I wondered......

Nowhere to run? Or did they move the ball a little, but couldn't score but one TD?

Caldwell was close to scoring a couple of times.

My memory is horrible but I think that Giddings stopped on a goal line stand when Caldwell had 1st and goal. Caldwell also missed a FG before half.

Canto has put up some impressive numbers vs other teams but Giddings held him to less than 80.
