If you go back to 1838 Detroit has 10 Stanley Cups. How many
does Dallas have?

I didn't realize they played for the Stanley Cup thirty years before the Civil War!

Dallas hasn't had a franchise dating back that far...but going back to 1999, the Stars have exactly the same number of championships as the Red Wings, and more championships than the Rangers, Cowboys, and Mavericks combined during that time. :p

Okay, 1838 was a joke.

I was just trying to "pick a fight" because of your thread title.:D

I did just go to ESPN though.....

Western Conference
1. Detroit 27 points

8. Dallas 17 points

 :D

Thanks for that info! With the 1 vs. 8 matchup, we'd see the Stars get past the first round for the first time in four seasons, and the Red Wings would be sitting at home come time for the second round.

No, that will be if we're playing Anaheim in the first round again.:(

by the way, the Red Wings have only a .455 winning percentage when they reach the Stanley Cup; the Stars are .500.
