Which team has the toughest schedule this year?

I'm not sure about this year's schedule, but usually Daingerfield has one of the toughest schedules in 3A, according to Collier-Sharp. Last year all 6 teams in district 12-3A were ranked in the top 10 i believe

I know Marlin has a pretty killer non-district schedule.

Burnet has a pretty tough non-district schedule but I'm not sure about district.

Bellville's schedule has 8 out of 10 that will be great opponents, Rockdale, Cameron, Elgin, Rice Cons., Houston St. Tomas, Columbus, Navasota, and Sealy, all were in the playoffs with the exception of Sealy, losing a coin toss.

Marlin and Cuero have killers...

Cuero's goes like this:

Scrimmages: La Grange, Marlin, Refugio

Reg Season: Rice Consolidated, Rockport-Fulton (4A), Sealy, Sinton and Edna...

District's gunna be a tough one as well: Yoakum, Gonzales, Luling, Hallettsville and GOliad

Cameron will have a moderate schedule. Bellville and Gatesville will both be pretty tough and China Spring may not be too bad. Don't know much about the other non district games w/ Waco Connaly and Giddings. As for district....Marlin awaits in week 10.

Alanta does have aprety hard scheadule.
vs Pari
at Hallsville
vs Texas High
at Mt.Pleasant
vs Marshall
at Queen City
vs Daingerfield
at Pleasant Grove
vs New Boston
at Liberty Eylau
The non district is about as tough if not tougher than the district will be.

I've got to agree with the Atlanta and Daingerfield folks that District 12-3A is a killer and, year in and year out, probably the toughest one in the state.

However, we here in East Texas sometimes have our faces rubbed in our braggadocio as Greenwood proved against Daingerfield. I was shocked when I heard that 10-0 score, because I had assumed Gilmer had just fallen to the state champ when the Tigers mauled us in bi-district.

Gilmer, happy to be defending champion in the usually somewhat weaker District 11-3A after all those years getting beat up by the schools closer to the Louisiana line, faces the following schools in non-district:

at Gladewater
at Jefferson
Wills Point
Pleasant Grove
at Pine Tree

Expectations are high for a 5-0 start, but Gladewater will no doubt be sky-high for that opening night game Aug. 29 on their new artificial surface. It is always 48 minutes of non-stop mayhem when these two meet, often going down to the wire and sometime ending in controversy after a couple of overtimes.

You can throw out all the predictions, scouting reports, record books, depth charts, 4-point-whatever speedsters, etc., in preparation for this annual grudge match to determine who is "the real orange-and-black G-town" in Texas. They stole our school colors, BTW.

Hey Gobbla. Cuero scrimages 4A Gregory-Portland this year in Place of Marlin. G-P was 4A semi-Finalist last year.

Ah... Thank you so much... Someone on another board from GP was asking if we scrimmaged/played them and I told him 'not that I know of'

What do you think about this year?

This is pretty interesting, and I know it has nothing to do with this year, but look at the top 10 hardest schedules from 2002
CLASS AAA
1. TEXARKANA LIBERTY-EYLAU 158.19
2. ATLANTA 155.56
3. TEXARKANA PLEASANT GROVE 151.25
4. DAINGERFIELD 148.07
5. QUEEN CITY 147.87
6. MARLIN 146.11
7. BURNET 145.63
8. NEW BOSTON 144.63
9. JEFFERSON 144.28
10. TYLER CHAPEL HILL 143.88

The top 5 are all from 12-3A, 7 of the top 10 are on Daingerfield's schedule.
