this will be a good step for the tiger program to take this year, but the buffs will be too much to handle. giddings by 25.

Agree with zebra, a big step for the Tigers but they will find a seasoned Giddings team too tough. Sealy is just loaded with sophomores and even two freshmen start on the varsity. A big step but the overall Giddings experience and talented offensive line will be too much. But we'll see, Sealy will show up.

Sealy has made great strides since the first couple of weeks. You can probably chalk this one up to experience for the young Ticgers, but footballs bounce funny sometimes, and "that's why they play the games". See y'all in Tomball Friday night.

14, darren come on. It will be by 21 or more!

Sealy may have a couple of good backs, or one, but we have faced that over the last 4 weeks a few times and we haven't given up much. Pratt, Canto, and Nunn were not able to do much damage, especially with the defensive changes we made before the caldwell game.

I say 14 because Brock, Locke and Dock will be sitting and resting by the end of the 3rd.

So who wins and why?

BLACK&GOLD4LIFE
11-11-2007, 11:11 AM
sealy, we win because of our soph. running back dexter downey #5 and soph. saftey seth jamison #8. These two guys will be the difference in the game, not to mention our two outstanding tightends, brad miller #14 and chase terry #12, who no one could stop all season

Damn band waggoners, as long as it is just one it won't look as bad as the caldwell thread.

Somebody gets more than 20 post so they think that they can start talking mad smack?

Sealy will play with all they got and leave it on the field, giddings will have to show up to play for sure. It is that time of year where there aren't very many easy ones.

I can tell you the boys are not looking past sealy. All the talk on the board about the week 2 or week 3 opponents being so tough! I heard some good news today that the boys are totally in line with the coaches in that they have to play week by week from here out or there will not be another week.

I DON'T THINK SO!:)

for the record, I haven't heard much,
but I'm sure there is a lot of talk going around in both towns, which is very normal and to be expected. talk is cheap.

however,
What exactly do you think that Sealy is supposed to say to get ready for this game? Honestly??
are they supposed to say this::

"Oh, by the way, we are gonna get our "helmets" handed to us on a platter next Friday night". "we Tigers are really pumped up now!! yipee!! "

seriously folks,
you don't prepare for games talking like that.

I personally don't think it's a good thing to go around talking smack, because eventually it will come back and bite you in the
"helmet" so to speak.

My thoughts on the game:
I believe it will be a better played game than the scrimmage at the beginning of this season and our game against you last year.

With that said, Congratulations to Giddings on your great season.

Congratulations Tigers for your successfull season, and it WAS definetely successful.
Players and new coaches have done a remarkable job this year turning our FB program around. You will be an even stronger team next year! I look forward to it. :)

I don't think Giddings is going to try to blow Sealy out, just because there's no point in it. Plus they'll still have 5 games left, so you can't exhaust yourselves in the first round. Giddings will have a comfortable lead, but I doubt it'll be a four or five score blow out.

Not trying to be cocky here, but just throwing this out there, sealy had a GREAT practice tonight in their stadium under the lights and are excited about playing giddings, they think it will be a very good game. The players are very focused and they know that they will have nothing handed to them in the game this week.

not cocky at all, thats good they had a great practice. I wish I had a shot to knock one of top teams off in my days. It would make me practice like I never have before, Hope sealy comes outas focused as you say, they will need to because the buffs are not over looking anybody. harsh words...calm down a little...dont want to scare the rookie off...lol...lets get back to football...giddings is way to powerfula dn though the lack of yards may show different...Giddings has managed to show they can spread the wealth and give the ball up to a number of players...and they can break it big with those players...and i suggest sealy doesn't overlook the passing game Giddings has yet to show this year...i can guarentee you before this season is over Brock will throw two touchdowns in a game...guarenteed...im gonna be a homer and say Giddings by 28 or 35....

It is just too bad that Sealy has to play Giddings in the first round. Giddings will win this one easily 28-7.

I'm the rook? Maybe on this website but not when it comes to Giddings Football. You my friend are the rook in that regard.

Obviously sealy has improved since early in the year, I hope they have anyway. JK, I KNOW THEY HAVE!

The thing is that giddings has too. The youngsters have gained experience and really contribute and help the offense click. The defense has made some changes and the replacements of last year's seniors have really fit in as the year goes, the defense has really impressed the last 5 weeks especially.

I would say it is SOMEWHAT relevant to compare the common opponents of these two teams. I did say SOMEWHAT b/c it almost means nothing, but it has to mean a little. Posters write these things all the time, it is going to happen, it is one of the few comparisons we have to use at the high school level. It atleast makes for reading material, and gets people going on here.

I would say from having already played Giddings, that Sealy does not have a chance...Sorry guys. We also played Bellville (I know I comparing teams or whatever, but oh well), and I would say from having played both of them that Giddings will most likely (pardening some miracle) have their way with Sealy.

yet as much as i hate sayin a team gave the other team a win...LG put it on a silver platter...three muffed punts i think and 7 TOs overall...

but like you said...not a reliable source of comparing teams

Yeah, after Sealy there are no easy games for Giddings...At least not in their region.

I'm sorry man...but I just don't think Sealy is a gimme game for Giddings....Giddings is favored and SHOULD be...but this "they're gonna hang 35+" stuff ....I just don't see it. To each their own though. But you are right...this Reg. is a TOUGH road in both brackets it seems.

I only see it as a "gimme" game, because I seriously doubt Giddings is going home in the first round. Don't get me wrong, Sealy is good and all, but if Caldwell didn't beat Giddings I don't think Sealy will either.

But you know my thoughts on "so and so beats so and so....so" Diff. teams matchup differently against like opponents. The example I can give from OUR district is Brookshire Royal...completely DONKEY STOMPED Columbus....and got their tails kicked by Needville....yet...Columbus beats Needville in 2OT by a FG? You just never know....but I agree...Giddings SHOULD win and are favored...but to say Sealy has NO shot...anyway. I would agree OUR game is gonna be a better one....hopefully....LOL.

Yeah, I'm not saying its going to be a blow-out, but I'm DEFINITELY not saying Giddings is going to lose in the first round.

But oh well.

Now, I know last year is last year, but my point is ANYTHING can happen under the lights.

Sealy very well may lose this game, but they aren't just gonna roll over.

Wish I could be there, but it's just too far north for me.

Good Luck to everyone and I hope it's an injury free game.

no way sealy will even get close to winning this one...we played giddings last year in the first round..and they were by far too much to handle..
