Okay, this is what I've come up with from the results from tonight.... please let me know if there are any mistakes as I may not be aware of particular tiebreak rules for some districts.

Why couldn't Royce City go D2. Celina sure did want to play them this year. Would have been fun. While we are at it, wishing for a rematch with LH would also be sweet. So much for wishful thinking with this D1 and D2 cr__ (stuff). When are we not just gonna play schools our own size. Wait a minute, thats what were doing aint it??? I'm so confused now.

Celina, it appears, should have an easy road to the Region II title.
Similar situation with Vernon, should have an easy road until Region I final game.
And yes folks... I know, nothing is ever easy.... blah, blah, blah. When you look at it on paper right now, Vernon could easily win 3 games and be in the RI final.
Celina could easily win 4 games and come out the Region II champ.

Correct, at least for football. Presidio doesn't play football, but they combine/split with District 1 for other sports.

For those of use that are "chronologically (sp) challeged" and consequently "vison challenged" - I found out that if you save WOS87's brackets as a .bmp and print - it comes out with BIG PRINT and the brackets are big enough to write in as well...... Thank you WOS87, again you continue to make life easy for us "old folks" :D

It sure helped me this morning when I needed to find it.. I think it would be nice if WOS87 doesn't mind (ESPECIALLY if he updates each week (hint, hint) seriously - it is a great format and so easy to read. thanks Rita;)

I went with what the UIL has posted... which doesn't necessarily mean is correct...

Needs to be clarified:

Llano 49 or 47 pts scored

Madisonville 13 or 19 pts scored

Poteet 17 or 27 pts scored

According to the Region IV editor

it was Llano 47 & Poteet 27

Don't wanna jump the gun here, but wouldn't it be something if both Cuero and Palacios won!? They would be playing in the region final next week. Looking back to 1986, Cuero has never played a district foe in the fourth round.

Gonzales could very well make it to the semis.

Very impressive!

WOS87,

Thanks for all the hard work. It makes following the season very enjoyable to have your statistics to lend insight and perspective and to settle disputes from time to time. Merry Christmas and have a very Happy New Year.
