The best 7-2 team in the state

1. Abilene Wylie (7-2)...losses to Brownwood (28-21) and Graham (29-23)
2. Snyder (7-2)...losses to Monahans (41-32) and Canyon (24-21)
3. Somebody else

Here's a question for y'all...Who's the best 0-9 team? Because I know that Lamesa is sitting at 0-9, but still has a chance for the playoffs if they win their last game.

Lamesa is tied for third in their district (of four) at 0-2, and if they beat the 0-2 team they're tied with, then they get to go to the playoffs.

Wouldn't that be something though if a team 0-9 won their last game of the season to get into the playoffs, and ened the season with a seven game win streak and a state title?

I can't believe someone doesn't know where Lamesa is! It is located at the doorway to Paradise aka the South Plains. There are absolutely no ugly trees to block one's view of the golden, red sunsets, the clear blue skies, or the miles of uninterrupted green cotton (or white during stripping season, or red/brown during the rest of the year). It's the land of milk and honey. Can't play football worth a damn, but if you grew up there, you know what to do in a sand storm.
