I know we've already started this thread but I couldn't find it so.....what are yall's enrollment numbers for next season?


I was told through the grapevine that Cameron turned in 437.....gettin smaller every year:(

What's up with that too? I noticed a lot of stores are shut down in Cameron too. Are people moving off or what?

i honestly have no idea....i mean we're buildin a frickin 4 lane highway through town...you would think that it would attract some people...i think we have more gas stations than restaraunts lol

Ours hasn't changed much- I think it was like 760 something.......

yeah, somebody said the cut off might be around 450....but we would still have the option to be 3a i think....it's not like we can't compete

Heard Mart is going to 1a. I would love to see Mart/Alto play

i think we could be pretty good next year, got almost all the skills comin back...not to mention that our rb & qb are only sophs this year :D

What you schools on the cusp of dropping to 2A need to do, if you want to stay in 3A, is to expand the size of your school district.

Gilmer did that through consolidation nearly 40 years ago. The district covers at least a couple of hundred square miles and that's unusually large for East Texas.

It backfired at first, though, and moved us into 3A back when 4A was the largest class.

The 1970s were lean years and very hard times for not-so-mighty Buckeyes.

Actually, from what I've read, that "option" will no longer be an option, at least for this alignment.



I've seen 707 and 717 for us. Which is correct, I'm not sure, but I believe 717 sounds more like what I had heard as "official".
