Wondering if any of you had any recording software/equipment or access to it...

I'm thinking we need to have a little contest... maybe have a couple months or few to come up with an original song and put it out there for our community to vote on...

think it'd be fun...

I suck at guitar and singing.

But I'll write some lyrics, make them sound crappy, and enter

sound quality doesn't have to be perfect... hopefully people would pay more attention to the craftmanship of the music...

there are programs you can download to record as long as you have a mic.

I dunno if you can get Mixcraft for free or not, but my friend just recently got it and I don't believe he bought it... maybe it came with his new dell or something, I dunno...

I have two freshly finished songs I'm ready to drop in if we get enough people together...

anything works... I like to have a program that is pretty clean layering atleast four tracks for vocals (2), guitar and a solo guitar track... the basic Cakewalk isn't too bad...

get you a good mic and make sure your guitar goes in and out clean and you're good for the small time...

but for this little contest, if it goes down, anything that sounds clean enough should work, and like I said, hopefully the voters go for craftsmanship over the quality of the sound in the recording...
