Daniel will make the start for the Javs, whose other QBs have been plagued with injuries. The Javelinas(1-8) will be closing out their season at home against Angelo State at 7pm this Saturday, and I'll be there. KRIS 6 News did a story about him yesterday at 6, but the video isn't on their site yet. If it comes up later I'll post the story and video.

What an awesome kid. I hope for the best for him. He has a great momma too, probably one reason he is such a good kid.

Gotta like a kid who gets sent to ISS in HS for decking someone who said un-nice things about his family. He deserved a pat on the back not punishment.

I heard he had 200+ yards when he came in on one of the other games. He has a good arm and I wish him luck.

Anyone remember the last time the Hogs had a record this bad and a Freshman QB got his 1st start in the final game of the season????????

I probably would've pressed charges outside the school system if anyone so much as touched me or my kid with malintentions. I don't care who you are, but kids need to learn to resolve conflict without violence. The kid didn't deserve a pat on the back... he deserved a lawsuit... maybe a reality check.

On another note... I hope the kid passes for 5 TDs this week. The javs need some spark for next year...

You probably have no clue on the situation. Daniel is a great kid and has done one semi-wrong thing in his life, sometimes boys need their butt's kicked to be put back in line. Its the way the world works.

Anyway, I miss daniel, wish he was still playing in High School...on My Team!

Going into the final game of the 1973 season, the Javelinas were suffering one of their worst years in history. At 1-8, the Hogs were going nowhere and Coach Gil Steinke gave a young Freshman QB his first start in the season finale. On a rainy November night in San Marcos, QB Richard Ritchie led the Hogs to a blow-out win over Southwest Texas.

Ritchie never lost a game in his career, going 39-0 as the Hogs signal-caller over the next 3 seasons and leading the Javelinas to 3 consecutive NAIA National Championships in 1974,1975 and 1976.

Way to represent District 30-3A. See, we do have some players in this district. Good Job and may he stay healthy.

Daniel Ramirez

Passing- 30-50-2 60.0% 388yds 2TD

Rushing- 12att 39yds 1TD

These are his stats for the two games that he has seen playing time in. His 60% completion rating is the highest on the team.

Anyone else interested in going to the game might like to know that if you bring a non-perishable food item to the game, you can get into the game for $1.

He's a winner, always has been always will...If they can recruit some players around him, they may get it rolling again!

And as my dad used to say...

Gig'em Aggies
Hook'em Horns
P!$$ on'em Hogs!

Go Hoggies!

Daniel was awesome last night. He threw for four TDs and ran one in. He didn't throw any ints and wasn't sacked, but he did have a bad pitch on an option and that was the lone turnover for the Javs. Sinton brought a pretty big crowd to cheer him on last night. All three of the undefeated Pirate peewee teams showed up in uniform to cheer him on. I also sat next to the family of one of the Javs starting receivers, and they were saying that of the three QBs Daniel is starting to become their favorite. There will be a big battle for the starting job next year. Daniel, hopefully, has now become the frontrunner for the job.
