I voted 3 times in a row...but realized the vote count didn't move any!

I went to my "other" email and it moved up a spot then.

I wonder if it will let you vote, but doesn't count it since there is already a vote from that particular email!

From what i have noticed, it will only let you once from an i/p address. looks like you can vote once every hour. as mentioned i sent it to my fantasy football league and got a pretty good boost... lets pull this out for 3a

Sounds like maybe you don't know what the kid did. I can promise you the community of Mathis knows what he did. Don't discredit Chis's accomplishments for the sole purpose of pounding on your own chest.

I'm not...just most people voted for a person in here that have no clue what he did. Most everyone on the 4A board knows what Holden did and voted for him out of respect. In here, it was a 3A thing. But I'm not worked up over it, just sad to see someone so deserving of it get beat the way it happened.

After all it is an individual award not a team award :)

Thanks for clearing that up!

Shouldn't be any individual awards on a TEAM sport. Then we wouldn't have all this controversy ( :weeping: ) over who is more deserving. :rolleyes:

When this poll was placed on this board and the 4A board, it stopped being the POTW award and turned into 3A VS. 4A...nothing more - nothing less.

Well, the good ole` Caller Times seems to love only ONE school in South Texas anyways. Having graduated from that school, I can see why, as they win year in and year out. (Although they`ve played in as many state championships as have Sinton and Mathis who are both from District 30-3A). It won`t kill anyone for a young man from a small school to get some recognition. It always makes me laguh as the Caller Times and the other news outlets always hype up the Corpus Schools and they don`t ever cover the surrounding schools (other than Refugio)much during the regular season and then all of a sudden, when Corpus has no team in the playoffs after the first round, it`s time to jump ship and cover the small schools still in the chase. you can set your watch by it, every year. Any ways in defense of the kid from Mathis................... He played his tail off and was given the ball almost EVERY down. They dropped back to pass TWICE in the whole game. Almost every other play was a run to him. He had his helmet ripped off and after that he came out fired up and kept on running. (sounds like Forrest Gump hehe) Anyways, if you go by stats, 161 yds on the ground against 112 wins every day in my book. Plus, the TD he scored was when they were down and needed to score for the win. Now, I wasn`t thrilled that our defense didn`t find a way to stop him, but that`s another story. He had a huge game in a pivotal playoff chase, no matter how far you may think either team will get into the playoffs. As it`s been said before, "When you get to the playoffs, anything can happen". As I recall, Mathis played (albeit lost) in the State title game several years ago, so it was a crucial win for them. Now we have to beat WO to get into the playoffs. So Darn that Veliz kid!!! Good game young man.
