talk about an important game in a very tight district

four teams could finish tied with 3-2 records

if anybody can explain the 14-3A playoff stuff to me, that would be great

i can postulate the ones who would be tied, but i don't know what tie breakers would be used

if van loses this one, Calhoun and company will miss another postseason with a 6-4 record

they could still lose out even if they win this one and go 7-3/3-2

Athens has 947 (2-2) students
TCH has 877 (3-1)

we'll just have to see how it plays out

everyone but brownsboro (1-3) and TCH has a 2-2 record

If this game was a match-up between their basketball teams we'd probably have a thread 10 pages long by now. Kinda funny thinking about it, but the last two games of the week have been between basketball schools...lol.

with all of the hype surrounding Jermie Calhoun (the #2 recruit in the nation by some services), i'm surprised that no one seems interested in this game or the fact that he could miss the playoffs in his senior season

it would be a shame for him to not make it now

It looks like the only season Calhoun will have gone to the playoffs will be his Freshman year. That is also the year he won a state championship ring in basketball. What a shame. Had high hopes for this year but Van is playing awful on defense right now. Van also has several kids injured right now. Doesn't look good right now for the Vandals. I believe they need to win plus have Bullard beat Canton to get in (which could happen Bullard may be the best team in district).

This district is crazy all teams including Brownsboro still have a shot at the playoffs. Believe it or not if Chapel Hill gets beat I think they could still miss the playoffs.

thanks, icu

it's amazing how balanced this district has been all season

i keep expecting one team to pull ahead but then they get beat the next week by a team that was beaten by the team they just beat

confusing?

me too!

If Van beats Chapel Hill and if Canton and Athens both win their games.....................it would end in a 4 way tie for 1st with Van not making the playoffs..........again.

I take van to stir up the district real good. This one is interesting.
