Why is Giddings the only unbeaten team that hasn't clinched?

Is there some kind of scenario that could change the projection?

Thanks for your hard work WOS87!

Giddings has definitely clinched a playoff spot... they just haven't clinched that specific slot on the bracket

Giddings isn't colored red on the post above because it still isn't decided whether they will go Division I or Division II.

If Navasota beats La Grange, Giddings is Division II and it will be exactly like it shows above

If La Grange beats Navasota, Giddings is Division I, Caldwell will have the 23C spot in Division II, and La Grange will have the 23R spot

If Giddings goes D1 who is the likely finals representative from the reg 3 and 4 bracket?

Interesting.....

In DII, any potential match-ups between Giddings, West Orange-Stark, and Waco La Vega would occur in the first three rounds, not in the regional championship game.

La Vega has been taking care of business to the tune of 40-9 this season.

Palestine probably isnt going to make it. If Mexia loses to Madisonville and Westwood and Palestine win there will be a 3 way tie with Palestine sitting at home

I know that region4 looks aweful weak. It doesn't look like Cuero is going to have any trouble getting through that region.

If the Leps could beat Navasota then Giddings goes DI and Caldwell moves into the upper bracket of RIII DII and the Leps go into the lower bracket to play Columbus. Interesting scenario. It is now sudden death win or play basket ball. Go leps! Send Giddings to DI!

19 3a Scenarios

Groesbeck--out
Fairfield--Out
Madisonville--In, will be #1 seed in D2 with a win
Mexia--In Will be #1 in D2 with a win, a Palestine win, will be D1 rep if Palestine doesn't get in
Palestine--on the fence. they need to win against Fairfield and need mexia win over madisonville
Westwood-- need a win against Groesbeck and a Madisonville win over Mexia

Assuming Palestine and Westwood both win (which they should) everything hinges on Mexia Madisonville
Final Standings with a Mexia win
Mexia 4-1
Madisonville4-1
Palestine 3-2 (beat westwood head to head which is first tie breaker)
Westwood 3-2
Fairfield 1-4
Groesbeck 0-5
Final Standings with a Madisonville win
Madisonville 6-0
Mexia 3-2
Westwood 3-2
Palestine 3-2
Fairfield 1-4
Groesbeck 0-5

looks can be deceiving........... how many of the Reg IV teams have you seen play? RH played Cuero heads up ball last year . nothing "weak" about them and it looks like they are just as strong this year. Add PI into the mix.. it's not a give-away by any means.......

Caldwell has clinched a spot but it is still undetermined exactly in which slot of the bracket they will play. I have them in the 23R slot in the graphic above but Caldwell would move up to the 23C slot if La Grange beats Navasota this week, and La Grange would be the 23R team.

It wasnt a bad game last year, it was 14-7 at half time, Graham blocked a punt to score before half, and is what pretty much killed Dalharts spirit, but final score was 33-15 or somethin like that

I have repeatedly said if on every other thread. I was refering
simply to what he has projected.

I will say this. If Snyder makes it to the quarter-finals they will
have earned it. Look at the top half of the region I bracket
compared to the bottom.

My personal prediction is that Vernon and Snyder will play in the regional finals at Shotwell stadium on Dec. 7th or 8th.

*Snyder will not have an easy road to the regional finals having to play Monohans in round two and the Graham/Clyde winner in round three.

*Vernon will have a much easier road. The only tough team that should be in thier portion of the brackett will be Sweetwater/Bridgeport winner in round two. That is if Sweetwater beats Breckenridge this Friday.

from the looks of it with only 3 teams with two losses or less SO FAR with one game to play, Celina has a cakewalk to the semis

Without a doubt the easiest road to the semi's for any region in both D1 anc D2, according to this playoff brackett.

Yes I have to agree. It is even possible that we could play Prosper for the region finals if they play really well and we just plastered them 62 - 13. I don't know what happened to D2 this year. I thought
Van might be tough with Calhoun then Canton went and beat them and Canton is 5 - 4. I suppose there are good teams but not one really good one like Bboro was last year. Man they were good. And Madison was decent too. Not this year it looks like.
