Uncle just moved from Texas to Florida...

Can't have a truck in the neighborhood he moved to!

Must be a nice neighborhood...

He sold two trucks to live there!

One has already been sold

The other one was in the driveway about an hour yesterday

Got a big red sticker warning of a violation and that it would be towed

Crazy homeowners association

I don't think so

My cousin's high school just had it's enrollment capped for the year

No new students

He got in just in time

About 5,500 in the high school

Someone needs to be shot...

NO TRUCKS!!!!! That is outrageous....

maybe it was the size of the trucks that he owns that were the problem...

I'm moving to a HOA in a month and a half, and they don't allow you to have trucks with bigger than a 1 ton towing capacity. Basically, they don't want diesels or F350s in the driveway.

I just did a "Weston" search and ran across some message board!!

Not only are trucks not allowed by that particular Home Owner's Association, the town of Weston doesn't allow "pickups" of any kind!!

They also don't allow boats or RV's unless they are stored in a fully enclosed garage or shop...and taken out periodically for cleaning!!

I would hate living in a neighborhood that controls the way you live.

My cousin just moved from Weston to Santa Clarita, CA. I'll email her and ask her about "the no truck" rule.

I got this reply from my cousin last night:

"Yep and it is BS. It is just a bunch of
people
with new money trying to make themselves feel
better
than everyone else.

New money meaning everything on the outside (big
house, big car and big boobs) all while having
about
$15 in their checking account.

A neighbor of mine drove a pick up truck and he
had to
park it in his garage. Several times he left it
outside on the drive way - we didn't care so we
never
mentioned it to the HOA. Depends alot on your
neighbors.

Please tell me the neighborhood the Uncle moved
into
and I can give you more information on the folks
that
live there. I live in the Ridges, the
neighborhood
between South Post Road/Griffin Road and
Bonaventure
across from the High School and new library.

How funny. Having said all of this, I really
miss it.
I made great friends (normal people) and laughed
at
all of the other silliness. It prepared me well
for
now living in LA!!!"

in my subdivision you cant have more than 2 horses/goats/sheep and they have to have proper pens/etc. .... plus the house had to be a certain % brick exterior & a minimun square footage

but I think the homeowners assoc. or whatever has gone away

isn't Shiro about 40 miles west of Huntsville? Seems like when we'd go see Chad when he was at SHSU, I saw road signs with "Shiro" on them - close to Anderson maybe - we'd go from Brenham to Navasota to Anderson, then we'd take a right on Highway 30 and head to Huntsville........ I can't imagine moving from small town America to something like where he's living now:(

Yeah, Shiro is about halfway between Huntsville and College Station on 30

Kids went to Anderson-Shiro schools

Interesting little place

I went down there for my cousin's graduation in May

There were about 35 people in her class

It took about 2.5 hours
