every freaking stadium is names weird this year. They DISD wanted to name everything after someone. There is James Jones Field but the Stadium is Sprague. There is Jesse Owens Complex but the Stadium is Kincaide and the Hallway inside the Ellis-Davis FH is named after Goree Johnson an assistant AD.

The final on this one was 56-8 Roosevelt. While that may look a bit shocking to see such a wide final margin, it's not a shock at all to me. They suit up mostly seniors and we have exactly two seniors out of the five we have that actually contribute each week. Our guys are mostly sophomores and juniors who are going to take some licks while they go through growing pains. Losing big like that is going to happen sometimes and you just have to learn from games like that.

I believe though that G and Terry had some choice words for Velt and what they did tonight. If you're going to do what Velt did tonight that's fine and all, but do it against a team that's equal to you and not one that's suiting out a bunch of young kids. G's quote about Velt's coaching staff was something like they're a bunch of pee wee coaches with degrees. That's a pretty apt description after tonight. I can't even really get mad because I have to remind myself that this is DISD and stuff like tonight is the norm when it comes to a good chunk of these coaches.
