Is Greenwood the only team in that district that hasn't been 4A at one point?

Only place I know to look is WOS87's team histories.

As recently as the '96-'97 realignment, Andrews, Snyder and Lamesa were all 4A

It's crazy how many schools that were either in our district or that we played in the playoffs have dropped to 2A in the last 5 years.

Slaton
Denver City
Kermit
Crane
Ballinger
Merkel

maybe more, those are just the ones who caught my eye!

WOW!!!

Our enrollment has dropped each time the last 2 or 3 times.....I see that coming to an end.

It may be a few years, but our Elementary is EXPLODING with kids!!

With the pick up in the oilfield (and wind energy), I would expect the enrollment to increase in many of the area's 3A schools.

yes

Snyder moved down to 3A in 2003. I think Lamesa also dropped in the same year.

I think that the enrollments haven't actually changed that much, and in many cases may be increasing....

What's causing so many schools to drop down is that the cutoff number between 3A and 4A has been steadily increasing....

It was 615 in 1980 and in 2006 it was 950.

With the work in the oil field and the windmills, most district held their own, perhaps increased slightly. Two possible changes are Canyon going back to 4A and Brownwood dropping to 3A.

I think that it is certain to say that Brownwood is going down to 3a...

that would be good for them since that poor team is struggling so much in 4A

They probably would join Wylie and Clyde in 7-3A
