I heard a teacher was terminated here in Sinton for locking a child in a closet as punishment.

Supposed have been on the news.

Any one else heard about this?

Had a third grade teacher who used to tape an asthmatic kid's mouth shut when he used to have fits. Love those good old days. :p Crazy thing is it wasn't all that long ago.

When I was in grade school I had Nuns. They used a ruller on my hands a few times. I grew up sort or normal...... It was always much better then facing dad. Remember my mom spanking me with a belt once when I got older, maybe 13 or so. I had enough and stood up started laughing. She told me that it wouldn"t be funny when dad got home...............

My parents always made me go get my own switch...if you didnt get a good one, you had to go back get a better one, and got whipped worse for getting the little switch:(

my dad made his own belts out of conveyor belt at his work. it hurt pretty bad. i was in kindergarden and my teacher tied me to my chair because i kept on getting up for no reason. i think kids need to be spanked but not beaten. there is a fine line there

There is a fine line. I think parents need to step up and take control of their children. Teachers should NOT be baby sitters.

I could never be a teacher. nuns were vicious! my shoe fell off once while swinging my feet and the nun threw it away and said i had to walk around like that all day

I heard both. 3rd grade teacher and a 6th grade teacher. Both asked to leave for different reason.
