if Whitesboro indeed loses to PP, then they basically have to beat celina in week 10 to make the playoffs (plus win next week against Princeton i believe)

of course, they were leading in the third quarter last year, in what ended up a 34-9 Celina win

I t comes down to whitesboro needs Princeton to upset Pilot POintand then whitesboro has to go 1-1 and they are in

I just cant see Pilot Point getting upset by Princton...wont happen.
And I dont see Whitesboro beating Celina. either

But I sure would have liked to see Whitesboro in there. Would be great for the players and the town. But then stranger things have happened under the friday night lights.

Unless their are upsets in the final two weeks of play, there will probably be a 3-way tie for the final play-off spot. Pilot Point, Prosper and Whitesboro. It is my understanding that if this happens the 3rd spot would be determined by comparing head to head competition between the 3 schools involved. If this method is used, Prosper would get the nod due to point spread differences between these 3 teams(there is a 14 point cap on these scores). Of course, if Prosper beats Celina, they would get in (and the same for Whitesboro, should they beat Celina) and Pilot Point would get in if they beat Wakeland in the final week. So really the 3 teams fighting for the final spot can determine their own fate without depending on any one else.......simply win their final 2 games. Pilot Point has already played Celina, but has to play Wakeland. Prosper and Whitesboro still have to play Celina. All this being said, just wait 2 more weeks and see what happens.
