Can't believe there hasn't been a lot of chatter about this game. Bridgeport has a lot riding on this game tonight. Another loss would put them in a position to possibly have to win out.

Last night
Fresh. Argyle 24 B-port 21
JV Argyle 22 B-Port 0

Tonight-
Argyle rolls B-port. Harp might throw for 400 yards tonight. B-port small DBs have no chance against Argyle receivers.
Steak its whats for dinner :D

Yeah I think Harp lights them up. I would feel better if Argyle had slowed Wakeland some but I have decided that Wakeland is just a very good finesse team. If you beat on them physically you win. But if you don't put a hat on them they will roll you.
If the Eagles will hit tonight game over.

The Wakeland loss was a wake up call, and reminder that you have to prepare each week. The Argyle defense is playing like they should after a slow start. The boys are hitting stride just in time!

GO EAGLES!!!

In the for what it's worth department, I think Argyle wins out and Massey's agrees.

Here are the numbers for the remainder of the season.

Fri 10/26/07 Bridgeport 2471 4 3 -- 0 0 81 42.2 29.7
Fri 11/02/07 at Decatur 1918 4 3 -- 0 0 72 40.9 32.7
Fri 11/09/07 Sanger 5253 2 5 -- 0 0 97 44.2 18.5

This shows teams and their records. The percentage chance of Argyle winning is shown after the -- 0 0. This week Argyle has an 81 percent chance of winning according to the calculations Massey uses. Anything over 60 percent is usually gold.

Gee... I wonder if we should even show up?

Bridgeport does have a little bit of offense ourselves. I guess we will see how much we bring and how much the Argyle D has improved.

And who knows, maybe we will come up with some changes on our D to keep it from being a runaway...

No come on to Argyle, but "get your popcorn ready" ;)

Good luck tonight and if B-port travels well show up early the stands on the visitor side are small.

This may not be as easy for Argyle as you would think. The Bulls held Boyd to only 1 TD in a 43-7 Victory.

Argyle gave up 37 points in a 56-37 victory against the very same Boyd team.

I think this one will be a good one! Go Bulls!!

Bulls scored again, and it's 21 10 with (I think) 6 and change left in the third.

(To be honest, I was so excited about the score I didn't pay much attention to the time.)

with Decatur's win tonight makes the district out of whack from what everyone thought it would be a this point. Great win Bulls........

Argyle @ Decatur next week. Will Argyle be mad or will they press with all the expectations of a 5-0 district record down the the drain??????????

BullsFan
10-26-2007, 10:30 PM
Well only a certain amount of "out of what" in Decatur's case...I would have been surprised if they *hadn't* won.

Next week should be interesting between Decatur and Argyle. If I wasn't such a diehard Bulls fan, I might be travelling to see that one...

In the meanwhile, how 'bout those Bulls???? I am so proud of those boys!! And still sick I missed it. I think this game was HUGE, especially after the heartbreaker in Decatur, and I hope it gave our team a big shot in the arm in terms of morale. Definitely looking forward to the rest of the season!

GO BULLS!

Bulls have Gainesville and Sanger left and great chance at 4-1 in the district. If Argyle beats Decatur could have 3 teams at 4-1 at the end of the season.

Decatur beats Bridgeport, Bridgeport beats Argyle, Argyle possibly beats Decatur - how would that tiebreaker shape up????????????? I'm dizzy already but lets see what happens next week in Decatur before I get ahead of myself.

I guess this week Massey's was 81% wrong... :D :D :D

Decatur goes big school no matter what, right? That leaves Bridgeport and Argyle to fight it out for who plays who in the small schools bracket, and in that case Bridgeport comes out the winner. Shouldn't that be the way it plays out, or am I totally off?

If that tie scenario happens, I believe you are correct in the seedings, BullsFan.

BUT... still two weeks of ball left to play.

Great Game BULLS!

The tie breaker goes to a point spread. If the Bulls win out and Argyle Beats Decatur by 5 or more points The Bulls win the District Title.

SWEET!!!

But it still doesn't change Decatur going big school, right? The only thing that's up for debate is which team Argyle and Bridgeport play the first week. Or is there a bye up for grabs...?

Nothing we need to debate now except WINNING. Let's just worry about Sanger...

...and where AROD goes. ;)
