I think they should put down turf instead of building a indoor practice facility.

Or have a fundraiser or something, to raise the funds to put turf down.

I would like to see what fundraising could be done to pay for it. Turf proably would cost between $500,000 and $800,000.

If they would have a fundraiser they could raise the money for example, Patterson Drilling would probally donate a pretty good chunk of cash, and theirs other folks here that would also.

Schools officials have told me numerous times, even this year, that there is NO interest in turf for the football field.

An indoor training facility would benefit more than just football.

And yes, our turf here in Graham was about in the range of 700,000 and 800,000

Crap forget that, Just remove our stands and put cement stands in that incline more, then install turf. Then put a roof over it.

What I meant to say was........ aren't turf and indoor facilities projects for programs that are projected to really be going somewhere??
From most of the posts I have read on here- I think "Hooked on Phonics" would be a much better investment for those folks right now.........

He's not stupid. It's been done before. Injured could probably tell you the exact figure, but back when I went to Wylie we raised I think something like $1.2 mil for the doghouse over like 4 or 5 years. I know it was at least a $1.0, but I don't remember how long it took.

We can change the name to Snyder325Tigers Stadium after installing that turf and roof. I guess he will have to write a postdated check to finance the project.

If The Football Field Turns Out As Nice As The Baseball Field, It Will Be One Of The Nicest Around. I Think Moffett Field Is The Best In The Area.

I was wondering the same thing. I went to google maps the other day and did a satellite view of the Snyder stadium, even then I was wondering where the heck all the fans park....houses all over the place.

I remember as a kid in the 6th grade spending he night with a friend at his grandmother's house in Snyder...we drove from Odessa that weekend...we went out and played around on the field well after midnight...is't there or was there a park really close by there?

That stadium is really cool though. Juist has a historical worthy look and feel.

However the Mustang Bowl is the Mecca in my opinion for high school football out west.

Graham is in a residential area and they have bought up some lots and old houses. They are also considering closing part of a street. You can make it work.......

there is no room for a training facility to be put there...i mean they would have to take away the freshman practice field and shorten the practice baseball field or somethin otherwise there is no room

Yeah and plus they have to bring in some heavy equipment to install turf, and we just put down a new track so its out of the question.
