It is legal. As long as she is not more than 3yrs younger than you then you should be ok.

It is up to the state. In Texas you fall under adult law at 17, so you cannot have relations with anyone under 17 because legally they cannot give 'consent' at all- they are not able to under the law. Of course any defense lawyer can argue whatever he wants to..........

Well....there is that little known "3 years younger between 14 and 17 clause".

Believe me, I have a 6 month old granddaughter born to a 16 y/o mother and a 19 y/o father. (She is 17 now)...I studied and know that clause WELL!!!!

It is not a pleasant situation to find yourself in!!!

My son and his g/f are 2.5 years apart...they have been "together" since she was 14 and he was 16-1/2.

When I got the word that she was pregnant...I was FURIOUS...her mother was ecstatic!! What's wrong with this picture!!

Now...that being said, I wouldn't trade that baby for anything in the world!!!!

Then you are aware that this is Texas and parents tend to react in different ways when they find out that you have say........ used their daughter in a certain way. Rural texas courts would find no problem letting a parent off on temporary insanity over such a terrible accident...........

Let me tell you a little story about a girl in Greenwood. She was 16 and dating a guy who was 20 or 21. Neither set of parents cared. Evidently the school had a problem with it and turned him in....the courts got involved.

The ONLY way he was able to get off was because in the span of time he was charged and actually went to court, he married her.

So....cool parents don't mean squat....the law can and will step in if they see the need!!
