View Full Version : Region IV GotW(Week 8): Orange Grove Bulldogs(2-0,6-1) @ Ingleside Mustangs(2-0,6-1)

Bulldogs and Mustangs meet again like last year with district title hopes riding on this game. Last years game the Mustangs won 35-34 with Josh Coffield passing for 318 yards, but was interecepted 3 times and Bulldogs QB Jordan Salas passed for 182 yards and he was picked off once.

Bulldogs this year use 3 different Rbs, Jose Martinez(514 yds, 7.3 yds/att, 7 tds), Jonathan Rodriguez 468 yds, 7.9 yds/att, 8 tds), Barrett Davidson (302 yds,7.7 yds/att, 4 tds) and Qb Jordan Salas has rushed for 94 yds and a td on the ground. Salas has passed for 417 yds and 3 Td this year. Defensively the Bulldogs have 7 interecptions this year.
Mustangs are led on the ground by Rb Green Hill with 427 yds in 5 games this year with 5 tds. Rb Jeff Techur has rushed for 133 yds this year and 4 tds. QB Josh Coffield returned last week as the starting QB and has passed for 536 yards and 4 tds and been picked of only twice. Coffield has also ran for 331 yds and 3 tds. Mustangs defense has forced 15 turnovers this year(9 fumbles, 6 int.).
My pick is Ingleside will be able to slow down Orange Groves running game and force Orange Grove to pass more. Ingleside wins 31-20.

I think Ingleside will win by 14+, but I'll be rooting for OG to upset! :D

I give OG a pretty good shot at beating Ingleside, so if Sinton takes care of their game, Sinton may still have a shot.

It should be a close game. It depends which OG or Stangs team comes out. OG i feel has yet to come out and play 4 quarters. on the other side I dont know if the stangs put it on cruise control being up 23 - 0 against mathis, but if they tend to let up when they have a lead this game might come down to has the ball last. I pick the stangs 23 - 21 with a late safety.
