Yeah from what i had heard Cy Woods was supposed to be really good so hopefully this will give us some mometum heading into district.

They had some good young players at Rb and Qb. Good win for the Texans before district starts.

Don't forget Cy-Woods is a JV. Cy-Woods did win 29-27. Don't know if you can build on that though.

They may be a JV team but they beat 4A Marshal's varsity team 63-28; beat Coldsprings varsity team 37-14; and have scored 54 or more points on all the rest of the teams they have played to date. Cy Woods was clearly the largest team Wimberley has played and extremely fast on both offense and defense. Wimberley played well and despite the loss; it is a big boost for Wimberley going into District. Wimberley is very close to getting their game to the next level. Now that District is here look for the wins to start and continue during the playoffs. Whether Wimberley can compete with Cuero will depend on whether some of the inexperienced players can realize that you have to stay focused and play hard every down. Don't count the Texans out. They have plenty of potential.

believe me, nobody is counting the Texans out of anything. They are taken very seriously here...we are really excited about playing you guys again. It will be a fun game.
