The Bar, south of Wall Street. Think it's actually on Missouri Street close to downtown.
They have great steaks there.

Mexican Food - Dona Anita's - 305 W. Florida (corner of Florida and Big Spring).

Southern Food - Southern Velle (101 N. Mineola - haven't eaten there yet but heard it's very good).

Steakhouse and Buffet - Way Out West - 505 Andrews Higyway

I wasn't aware you were still in town. Call me and me and my husband will meet you somewhere for dinner!

Forgot about KD's.. right there off of I-20 and GC Hwy. Good BBQ. Get there early if you're going for lunch!

I don't know if this place is considered a chain or not, but the Cattle Baron's is a great place for salad bar and chicken fry type food.

Try Clear Spring Cafe just north of Grande Stadium and West of Sam's club. Good onion rings and the rest of the food ain't bad either. One order of rings will take care of a family of four.

Hey RM! When you go through Sterling City, is Big Country BBQ still there on the southern outskirts of town?

It used to be on the hwy going to Angelo, headed south it would be on the right just outside of town. When I was out there, they had huge stacks of mesquite in the field next to the place. I used to eat there a lot. Only place I've ever been where they give you your meal and then just as you are about finished, the owner walks by and asks if you got enough to eat. If you wanted more, he gave it to you, no extra charge. Not many places like that around anymore.
