that all the NFL QB's have a green dot on the back of thier helmet? Whats that for?

yeah i have noticed it....

it is for the head sets that the qbs have in there helments

The helmets with the green dots are the helmets that have the microphones in them. The coaches can talk to them for a certain amount of time then they are turn off. This is controlled by an official in the pressbox.

So the dot indicates that he is wearing a head set?

It lets the refs know which helmets on the field have the radio sets on the field. That way, there's no multiple communications. The green dot is horrible though; just an eyesore. You think they'd use the NFL logo, or a Mini team logo, or something.

yep...you're only allowed to have one helmet with a headset on the field when your team is on offense.

yeah, they can talk to the qb up until there is something like 10 or 15 seconds on the play clock, and once they snap the ball it is turned off
