Wylie's bye week is sandwiched in between their two toughest
district opponents.

Clyde plays Wylie and Sweetwater in consecutive weeks.

Sweetwater plays Clyde and Wylie in consecutive weeks.

Isn't this a big advantage for Wylie?

Note: I brought this up last year. There is a new mix of posters
and I would like to know what they think. Also, I might need to
add to my already bag full of excuses after Oct. 26th.:D

I would say it is an advantage but I don't think that Coach Sandifer was the one who made the schedule, and at the time this schedule was made in Feb of '05, Clyde wasn't considered as a competitive threat. The way it has unfolded this year it turns out to be great schedule for Wylie.

I would like to know who makes out the district schedule? Does anybody know how they decide this.

Not sure Clyde was considered one of the toughest competitors last year (this year for sure) - and of course Sweetwater is year in and year out. Comanche actually played Wylie closer than Clyde or Breck last year.
This year the timing is definitely good for an open week. Very hard hitting, emotional game last week for Wylie.

There is nothing new about this either. Last year wasnt the first year Wylie had an open date the week before the Sweetwater game. I've been :bigcry: about this for years.:D
And until we can beat them, I'm gonna keep :bigcry: about it.:p

Most district schedules are made by draw. Wylie just has a lot of good luck.

I think its a disadvantage for Wylie...It could throw them off after taking a week off...It does give them more time to scout and practice but it sweetwater comes out gunnin, we could catch them off gaurd.
