Ingleside @ Mathis - even with some key players missing from Ingleside's team - Ingleside will be too much for Mathis. Ingleside 27 Mathis 6

Sinton @ West Oso - Sinton needed a win last week to have momentum going into this game. West Oso struggled a bit last week, but I think they bounce back and beat the Pirates for the first time in years. Last years score was 35-21 Pirates, but this WO team has some explosive players in the backfield and their speed might be too much for this young Pirate defense. If anything hurts the Bears in this game it will be depth, but we don't have alot of it either. I want my Pirates to win, but having watched West Oso play against Port Isabel - I just don't think we are where we need to be to beat West Oso. :( West Oso 33 Sinton 14

the sinton factor??? :D i love it!! we did come alive - we have yet to play 4 complete qtrs of football!!! it is driving ME crazy (yes, i know, short trip) - so I can just imagine what the coaches must be feeling :eek:

Rooting for the Sinton Pirates all way! but the Pirates are still a young team :( And if we don't win this one make sure to watch for them in 2008. Cuz Sinton is like a dorment volcano ready to explode and take over 30-3A anytime in the future. Congrats to Coach Allen and the Pirates on impressive comeback in the second half against OG, even though we didn't win that's just a taste of what soon may come in the future earning a victory and perhaps being on the #1 spot of 30-3A:D oh let's say for another 5 years in a row.

I think all district games will be exciting. I hope the bears can play like they did against PI and if they do they should win, but the emotional win last week against mathis 6 - 0, and sinton playing like they did is why i am going against the bears. Just think of what could have been if sinton had showed up all 4 qrts.

Mathis it is! That is what the schedule says. We only have two home games by the schedule.


Mathis, WO and AP came to us last year.

We played OG and Sinton at there house last year.

What are ya'll talking about?? How many starting players were out with the ING/AP game??

We were missing Hull (starting QB) but Coffield did really well. I know some other were out because of the grade bug. One of the starting O lineman was out also, but he is out for the season.

That's all we were referring to ... grades...and yes, Josh did a fine job.

I think the ones that were going out (ineligible) for Friday's game played on the JV squad Thursday night...I just don't know y'alls roster that well.

Too many arm tackles!!! They need to step in there and put a helmet on them and drive them to the ground. Maybe they need to practice on the basics of tackling. This technique should already be known, but maybe the coaches should remind them!!

And that has me worried. The Sinton defensive line is undersized and have been overpowered by bigger lines.

Sure does look like a good game in the making. But stats does not always tell us the full story. Mathis as lost 11 fumbles, if that could have handle the ball better that might have won more games.

Mathis doesn't have huge lineman normally. Do they have big lineman this year?

So schedule doesn't say much who should win. I go with just knowing Ingleside has better coaching and will make any adjustments for this game.

They didn't come close to making the playoffs last year and unless they can pull out a HUGE upset against Refugio tonight, are basicly out of the playoffs this year.
