I was at this game. Wow what a thriller! I really thought AW had let it get away from them, but they fought their way back in second half, and had to earn every inch of it. Clyde was giving nothing away easy. What a great game!!!
Clyde is a very well coached team, and has some really good players. I was very impressed. They were literally kicking Wylie's butt that first half. Dont get me wrong though, they played well in the second half also. They just came up short is all.

They have been pretty solid against the run so far this year, but Clyde may have a better running game than what Sweetwater has faced so far this year. What really impressed me most about Clyde was their D, especially in the early going. However Sweetwater's QB is extremely elusive, and Wylie's is not, and the Clyde D got to him several times for big losses. They'll have a lot harder time getting to Holsey for sure. Still, it could be every bit as close as the Wylie game. If our boys come ready to play from the opening gun, and dont give anything away, we should win. But it's gonna be a dog fight till the end for sure.

Clyde is definitely the real deal. They're just a few plays away from being 7-0. Their defense is not big but they are quick. Wylie was lucky to pull out the win tonight.
We'll see how Clyde rebounds from the loss next week. I'm sure the Mustangs will not be looking past them.

I think the Wylie fans were just in shock the entire 1st half. And the boys just didnt give them much to cheer about till late.

The Clyde Bulldogs put up a fight, they've earned my respect for this year. Maybe next year they can topple Wylie, that coach is turning that team around fast.

Clyde does have a great team, is well coached and headed in the right direction. However, Wylie did help them out with 3 turn overs inside their own 40 and gave them a short field to work with. In the end it made for a great game and was worth the price of admission. Sweetwater better not look past Clyde (which I wonder if the Wylie players did) or they could end up with an L.

As for as next year, most of the players thet Clyde played and the leaders of their team (Kevil, Lyles) are Seniors. I wonder what type of talent Clyde has to replace those two guys (especially on offense).
