Crandall is 1-4. They beat a inless team in Fairfield by 1 point and lost big in their other 4 to Van, Glen Rose, Canton and Kennedale. They were in this same spot last year starting the year off 1-4 but rallied in District to win 4 and go 4-1 and share the title with Kaufman and Mabank, losing to Mabank but beating Kaufman.
Ferris is 4-1 and lost to 2A power Farmersville. Their other wins werent against great teams but they were wins none the less. Their new Head Coach is randy Barnes who was the longtime head caoch at Crandall before leaving 3 years ago to take a job at Carrolton Creekview.
PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS: This could very well be the game of the week in the District. The winner of this game could end up taking that third spot behind Mabank and Kaufman who on paper is far ahead of everybody else in the District.
