It's hard for Sweetwater to talk about JV football. Sweetwater
has 7 or more sophomores on varsity. Three or four of them are
starters.

Canyon has a really good JV and I think they have 7 that were moved up to varsity, with all of them getting quality playing time and several starting. Varsity should see a few good years.

Madison's JV and sub-varsity program in general isn't very good. That might have something to do though with 12 sophomores being on the varsity with 10 of them usually starting and all 12 playing a lot each week.

Bandera JV beat Luling 50-0 tonight. And we pulled out our QB and everything...that kid is amazing, too bad our starting Varsity QB is a soph as well. Both kids are special players.

All of Celina's JV teams seem to be doing pretty well this year, but their top JV team is really playing strong. Only one team thus far has scored on them and that was Frisco Wakeland (only one score reached the board for them), which was to be their toughest team. They seem to play really well together and their D is awesome. But that's just my opinion!

The game really wasn't that good until the last 5 minutes. Wylie had a 20-0 half time lead and appeared to be on their way to a rout. With about five minutes to go, Clyde recovered a fumble in the endzone to make it 20-8, Wylie recovered the onside. They go 3 and out and then snap the ball over the punters head and Clyde gets the ball on the one yard line and bingo its 20-14 before you can even blink and there is still about 2.30 left on the clock. It really would have been interesting had they been able to recover the last onside kick but they didn't. Those who stayed until the end got there moneys worth because it really wasn't much of a game until then.

Yeah i was there until the end and i thought Clyde might actually pull it out...
U r right about the first 3 quarters of play, Wylie did dominate.

Got there after they were threw didn't get a score but one of the freshmen coaches talked like it wasn't much of a game, but he did say some of their best freshmen were playing on the JV.
