Glad to see Clyde playing good football. They've been down for a few years. Slaughter seems to have them headed in he right direction. This could be a good game but I expect Wylie to win. They're D-line is big and strong and they're linebackers are fast and aggressive. Kevil may not have much room to run.

There will be way too much Wylie in the second half for Clyde to deal with. Kevil will be somewhat effective while he's fresh, but after Wylie stuffs him several times, it'll all be over. Look for Wylie to pull away in the 4th by at least 20. It'll be close at the half though. Clyde may even hold a lead or two in the early going.

I've seen every Wylie game for the last 12 years. I don't think I've ever seen a Hugh Sandifer coached team look past an opponent. Especially a district opponent.

Clyde has a good team this year. I agree with the last post, that it could be competitive early, but I agree that Wylie will have to much in the end. Wylie has owned the third quater this year outscoreing opponents 105-14 in the third quater. Every game has been fairly close at the half this year, this will probably be no different.

I was at that game. That Wylie team had some good players, but their depth and team speed was suspect. That Vernon team had more team speed than Wylie and the Vernon Offense and Defensive lines just flat outplayed the bulldogs. I remember walking to the car and saying to some of my friends that maybe the better team won that game. Wylie also played a weak non district schedule that year and the district was down a little.

We are talking about the game where Vernon beat Wylie in Weatherford aren't we?

Are you saying we can "get the popcorn ready" RWB?

I wouldn't waste my money on the popcorn or a ticket, because I've already seen both you guys play once this year I don't need to see it again. Plus, I only need popcorn for interesting games and I am saying this will be pretty much the Wylie show and Lord knows we from that part of the state have had plenty of that over the years!!! :D

I might have to agree with on this one Injured. And wasn't 04, the same year Wylie won state.

I think I'll just hang out here in Abilene after work and go see this game. It should be a lot better game than the Sweetwater / Comanche game!
I still think Wylie pulls away in second half and wins by at least two scores.

I've been debating going to the Wylie/Clyde game too. I decided
to probably just leave the Bowl when it gets ugly. I'll go home
and flip the radio back and forth between Sweetwater, Wylie,
and Snyder.

Should be a good game (at least the first half), then Wylie's depth and experience should begin to to take over. That's assuming that the players aren't looking past Clyde. I am sure the coaches aren't and take nothing for granted, however we are talking about young men ages 16-18. Who knows where their mind is?

What I meant to say was; I think Wylie pulls it out in OT, and wins by 1 point.:o ;)
