I thought Brownfield was actually undefeated!!

Did you know that the Brownfield Cubs were officially undefeated?? They were losing to 2A Lubbock Roosevelt 8-6 in the 2nd Quarter when the game was delayed and eventually cancelled because of lightning. Some websites and newspapers list them as 4-1 but they are officially 4-0.

They beat us last week which would make them 5-0 now!!

It just goes to show you that not all information is from a reliable source. You really have to come to understand B44. He has little desire to be PC nor non-abrassive and apparently now accurate. :D

Did the UIL ever give an official ruling on the matter?

Brownfield was losing to Lubbock Roosevelt 6-8 in Week 1 when the game was called in the 3rd quarter due to bad weather. I read somewhere that the UIL rule was that if at least 2 quarters were played in a game before it's called, the game counts.

Hmm...I heard they never completed the 2nd quarter so it didn't count for or against either team!!

I'm willing to bet Roosevelt is counting it as a win...

We had this happen a few years ago when we were playing Refugio in Refugio. It got cancelled either during halftime or right after the half was over. AP was ahead and got the win. We had a horrible time making it home through torrential rain.
