Wal-Mart really pisses me off

I went to purchase halo3 but I couldn't complete the purchase because I didn't have my drivers license. Like what the crap am I going to do with a damn game? It's not like I'm buy a pack of smokes for some 17 year old kid. It's a game and they wouldn't let me buy it. The hell with wal-mart and their stuupid policies.

I got pissed at Walgreens last night going to pick up some meds for my wife for the opposite reason.

When I grabbed the OTC stuff and walked to the counter, she rang it up and gave me the total, so I gave her my card (which the back says See ID but rarely do people ask for it), and she swiped it and told me I was free to go.

Didn't ask for ID, didn't ask for a signature, didn't ask for my PIN...if someone else had had my card, they would have gotten out without any trouble.

and your friend tellin' 'em you're old enough? that's why you have to have an ID, for proof... people lie... it doesn't say "you must have a friend with you to say you're old enough to purchase this item"...

the person was doing their job, following company policy...

I guarantee you one thing, the person(s) you gave a piece of your mind to isn't responsible for the policy in place, so congrats for griping at the wrong person who was doing their job...

but they are outrageous sometimes... I was at a wal-mart in Victoria once and used the cig line to check out... an employee of THAT Wal-Mart was trying to buy a pack of cigarettes on her break (the lady looked every bit of 50) and the cashier would not sell her the cigs... it was funny because the lady asked "Well obviously I'm around 50 or so, right?" and the lady said "I have to follow policy" and pointed at the sign that says "if you look under 27 prepare to who your ID" or whatever...

the lady who wanted the cigs was laughing and I kinda started to myself... she said "I'll bring my id on my lunch, it's in my locker but I got to get back to work, thanks for nothing"...

felt bad for the lady... she was kinda doing her job, but that lady looked well over 27...

Wal-Mart is gay, one day i went in and bought a 30 pack and didnt get carded. The next day I went in and bought some spray paint for my dad, and they carded me. It was the same cashier that sold me the 30 pack, and that really pissed me off.

I got carded when I went to buy Talledaga Nights when it came out. I didn't think nothin of it cause it was rated PG-13 so I left my id in the truck. Stupid lady made me go get it before I could buy it.

Few months back, with groceries, buying 12 pack, and they asked for my id, and the clerk started to key in my DOB and DL. I told the clerk stop, and said that I will buy the beer somewhere else. Its one thing to ask for id check, but to key it into their system is BS.

Well that did not last too long as now they only check the id. I suspect they were loosing too many sales due to the fact that they were capturing the info.

They probably had a company meeting and showed your picture that they downloaded from the security camera and said, "if you see this maniac coming in here, just keep him happy...we don't want any trouble after what he did to a poor cashier a couple of days ago"
