It's not like Marlin sat down and quietly lost those games... they are a strong group of kids and they know where they want to be for post season... I think Smith is healthy again and will be an asset to the game... Marlin should win this one...

This game has the chance to b a good one...if rockdale plays extremely good and has no turnovers...but i know Marlin is gonna b lookin for a victory. and marlin is no joke so its either gonna b a good game or a blowout? O yea is tank back?????????

If Marlin abandons the passing game and relies on their strength of running, then they win BIG 35-7. If they continue to try and throw the ball too much then they should win 21-7. Marlin definately needs the passing game in the playoffs, but right now I'd RUN the ball and gain some confidence.

THis is a hard one to forecast because Marlin, true, has played tougher foes but Rockdale knows it has to win those its not expected to because of how even the district is. Still though: Marlin 27, Rockdale 20

Rockdale will have to step up this week, they are coming off a sloppy win against an improving Smithville and one other win against Elgin. ahhheeemmmm shouldve beat Giddings cough cough 5 turnovers cough cough........ injury has hurt them the entire season, but hopefully with the week off last week the injured will be healed up enough. I know that there is at least one starter still out though and i HOPE Michael menley will be back. We havent had him since the first half of the first game against Bellville in which bellville was held to 6 points I believe. i WOULD LIKE TO SAY ONE MORE THING IN CASE ANY TIGERS READ THIS, JUST BECAUSE YOUR PICKED TO LOSE DOESNT MEAN YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE IT AND NOT EXPECT TO WIN, IF THAT WAS THE CASE i WOULD JUST TELL EVERY OTHER TEAM ROCKDALES WINNING BY 5 TOUCHDOWNS!!!!!! Maybe Rockdale 14 or 21. I havent seen them play sense the last time they played Burnet about two years back wasent it. I know Burnet won the last game they played against them.

KIR, I love that enthusiasm, accompanied by words of wisdom. You're a great role model, hope you can be there to inspire the Tigers. Good luck, Rockdale. The Brahmas may have beaten you two years in a row, but you kept a piece of them last year. Go after Marlin, KIR may be telling folks all kinds of great things out there you gotta live up to!

Thanks guys, Rockdale has played Bellville, Elgin, Taylor, Smithville, and Giddings..... the schedule has't been an easy one if thats what you mean. Taylor will beat Ennis too. Bellville is as solid as they come, maybe cant match burnetts offense, but Bellvilles Defense is better, alot better. Elgin is picked to win their district, so is Bellville, Taylor is knocking off top ranked teams, I believe they are # 4 now.

I was surprised by the statement that sounded like Bellville's defense was stronger than our offense. Up until we played Rice, I felt a lot more confident of our offense than defense. Oh well, Rockdale's been up against some good teams, they should be ready! Good Luck!

the tank is back in will get the start this week against rockdale. he is around 95 to 100% so he should do pretty good this week. but best of luck to both teams.

It's funny how an upset like last year vs. Ennis can cause a town to stay a little in denial over the current situation. It think that upset was the worst thing that could happen to them because they have rested on those laurels. The talent is there but they need to get back into the game mentally as well.

And BTW the 2000 score was only close 'cause our dbs let the receiver catch the ball in the endzone with no time left on the clock. It didn't matter if Marlin scored except it made yall feel better about the game. La Grange led in all stats and nobody thinks Marlin should have won. Fielding kick-offs is as much an aspect of football as catching a pass for a touchdown. Have you ever heard of "Special Teams"? Many close games are decided by the kicking and returning game. Go get some victories before you get on the board and talk trash about who yall can beat. :mad:

This should be a test for Rockdale, even though the odds are against them. If you believe, anything can happen. Marlin believed they could beat Ennis last year, and they did. Rockdale has to believe in order to win this match up. Maybe coach creghan has some tricks up his sleeve for this game? The game is played on the field, not on here, meaning, predictions don't mean anything!!!!
