Hey Matthew, This could be a good idea. I think some other possible move downs could be Celina, Newton, Teague, Pilot Point, Kountze, and maybe even as high or higher than Anahuac. Once you include 2A, you would have schools like Rosebud-Lott, Comfort, San Augustine, Garrison, Mart and McGregor. Personally, I think it could be as successful as your 3A site.

Isn't our enrollement around 550?? I can't imagine the top of end of 2A being that high. But...what do I know???

With all the realignment talk, this is like beating a dead horse, the scoop I've heard is that Burnet might go 4a and Rice would drop to 2a, as well as some other schools either going to 4a or dropping to 2a. It sounded like the thoughts were that 3a would be a smaller group of schools than they are now.

I'd hate to see some of the posters on here go someplace else. I enjoy reading what some of you guys come up with, even if it isn't always about football! So, a consolidated forum sounds like a good idea.

This comes up every season. No, we wont be changing the format and no we wont be making another site. It will be the 3a Down Low in 2004, just like it has been the last 4 years.

I just found this site this year and love it. Woodville will probably be moving to AA next year if the rumors about the UIL adjusting the AAA minimum are true. I sure would like to have a AA down low to be able to communicate with other fans.

Greenwood won't have to worry about going 2A,the cutoff will not go near that high. What may happen is the 3A bottom is likley to be in the 400-450 range.

I also heard that Midland Lee and Midland high would be 4A schools and that the only 5A schools will be the really big ones like Plano

Somebody misinformed you Ranger05. It's not practical for the cutoff to be 600. It's somewhere around 350-400

The Greenwood coaches heard about it there suppose to vote on it in march or febuary when ever they meet to realign the districts

I wouldn't listen too much to the rumors especially from sources that claim they have an inside. They don't. However, it is fun to speculate, but nobody knows what goes on in the minds of the powers that make the decisions. And after they make the decision, it is about the best kept secret ever until Feb.
Some areas are growing so fast you can probably predict they will go 4A. And some, particularly in West Texas, are losing enrollment almost daily. Some of those will go 2A. I still think a 6A is the answer that will make life more equitable for all, but not likely to happen.

then i also heard that there creating a 6A and leaving everybody else pretty much the samethere has been talk for along time about making a 6a but when it comes right down to it there just isnt enough schools to do 6a. Plus if they did schools would have to be driving half way across the state to play other 6a schools
