He said bravery doesn't happen until you "dog" (no pun intended) your own team.
Our JV (almost exclusively freshmen) lost to Trinity 18-0. Sad thing it wasn't even that close. I didn't appreciate the effort AT ALL. We got several delay of game penalties just from walking from the sideline to the huddle. I don't have a clue what happened because the entire conversation after the game was about Coach Lymas's death in his family.
Nothing in the prior scrimmages showed this lack of effort, they handled Burton and Willis handily. I wasn't proud of the effort, tho, the score notwithstanding.
