Everyone predicted Snyder would win.....but they gave up 42 points to Estacado?

Where was the D?

16 sec left, Estacado calls timeout. We pulled the 1st string along time ago, come on take a knee. GO TIGERS!!!(the best 5-1 team in the state)

It was 28-0 at the end of the first. I believe there was a bit of "let up".

nope no let up. I just got back from the game and what I saw on D was a bunch of guys forgetting to wrap up. Everybody was tryin to make the big hit. They need to quit tryin to make the highlight reals and play some smashmouth football!

I have to agree with Who-dun-it, Tigers started the game hitting and wrapping up and then after that they went back to arm tackling and trying for the big hit.

And man, what a great play after running the ball so well a play action pass and the tight end 15 yards behind the secondary for a touchdown.  :D

I agree with ya Trip,

The D did alot of arm tackling and trying to strip the ball and Estacada would end up making a big run or a TD.

That playaction pass was B-E-A-U-TIFUL!!!!!
That is my favorite play.....

Ya, they did that in the Marlin game too. I think the defense will step up if they have to. I would be nice to see a solid defensive performance like we've seen in the offense.

I must say I think the radio guys this year are much improved (minus "football swami"). But to say that "the Matadors must feel good coming in here tonight with their offensive performance against a tough Snyder defense". Please. Bottom line is the Snyder D needs to step up an play SOLID. In order to get the max out of this team, it has to happen. This team has so much potential, but the defense will need to come through. I will give credit to Bollinger on defense, you hear his name called a lot. He's making a lot of plays.

He said you don't hear the young man's name much because the young man is not a starter so he doesn't get many opportunities. And I am an adult who can read and what Go Blue said is "a tackleS is a tackle", note the S at the end of the word. I know that for some reason you have decided that you are going to ride piggy back on anything Go Blue post, but trust me he doesn't need your help. Right Go Blue.  :D

The problem most of us saw is mainly that after the first quarter that we seem to just want to arm tackle and not wrap up.

You know how the coaches make sure their athletes are passing?

When the 3 week grades come out they run them til their nose bleeds if they're not.

And it's not just the star athletes it's anybody. This I know first
