Here is a small breakdown on how I can usually find a decent game to listen to on Friday night, and also on Sat. if the game I'm interested in isn't on TV.
I usually start by checking the TSRN Full Broadcast Schedule for the week (http://www.tsrnsports.com/Broadcast/Broadcast-Schedule-2007.htm)
Then...if I don't find it there, I go to Radio-Locator (www.radio-locator.com) and punch in a close by town to where I know the game is going to be played and look for a station carrying it. This also works for college and pro ball.
I have also just learned about The Sportsgram Network (http://www.sportsgram.net/)
You can find a play-by-play here for Abilene, Cooper & Wylie. Just look for the links on the right side of the screen. Abilene , Cooper & Wylie play-by-play. (http://reporternews.com/news/gofridaynight/)
For the Houston-area game of the week check w/ 790AM The Sports Animal (http://www.790kbme.com/pages/footballfridaynight.html) and click "listen live" at the top right of the page.
You can also find podcasts of past games of the week and highlight shoes at 790AM Archived GOTW,etc. (http://www.790kbme.com/cc-common/podcast/single_podcast.html?podcast=footballfridaynight.xm l)
Here is a wealth of sports online I was just turned onto. You can find games from all OVER...even out of the state. Very impressive schedule!! Audio Sports Online (http://www.audiosportsonline.net/)
