I read for 5 minutes and was hooked!!

That was back in the day of "instantaneous" registration.

I didn't even have to wait to get my fix!!:D

I waited a few months. I started on texashsfootball. For some
reason the black background annoyed me here. I am totally used
to it now...obviously.:D

After a Friday night game, I have found the black background is SOO much easier on the eyes!!

i lurked for about a month the first time, created a name in 2002 and forgot about it since i didnt have internet at my house, think i posted once or twice. resigned up after another week of lurking in 2005 while looking for scores/internet broadcasts.

I was lurking for about a year before I signed up.

I can't remember what my first name was. It was registered to a hotmail account and I think that it was deleted after I didn't use it for some time.

I lurked forever because I had a stupid yahoo address and I couldn't get on until we got sbe global. I am a member of several other sites, but this one is my favorite. It gets a little 'spirited' at times but it doesn't get just downright stupid. The Old Coach has gone so downhill I won't even go over there anymore.

I lurked because I had no choice, same as RedWhiteblue. I tried everything - a kind mod finally came to my rescue at the urging of a friend.:D

I had friends that talked about it in school, so I looked it up and read a couple of their posts and jumped right in!

I enjoy going back and reading my first few posts every now and then to realize how much things have changed...for anybody who's interested, my first one is right here:

I joined just at the right time!!! Hardly anyone on the board even knew who Greenwood was and everyone was so nice to me.

Everyone just kind of rode the wave to state with me....it was awesome!!!

I was just a reader at the time. Your stories about your trips was like "color commentary" on the way to state.

I thought I signed up immediately and voted that way, but actually went back and read my first post and it appears that I read for a couple of days before signing up.

I'm not one to sit back and take stuff, so when i saw something about flannel.... i just had to post....

The wait depends on how long it takes to verify your e-mail and
IP adress. I don't think the name has anything to do with it.
Unless it's vulgar or profane.

so i sent them a ton of emails saying "please allow necks_c/09 to post on your forum" and other stuff of that nature...


basically begging them to approve me
