2007 Week 5 Scoreboard (Matchups Oct. 4th - Oct. 6th)

Unless I am mistaken, there is only one Thursday night game (South San West Campus vs. SA Memorial) and only one Saturday game (WF Hirschi vs. San Angelo Lake View). All other games will be played on Friday Oct. 5th. Over 1/4 of all 3A teams have an IDLE week this week so if I mistakenly have labeled a team IDLE who isn't or vice versa, please let me know and I'll correct it.

Thanks WOS87. Last week I printed this out and my wife wrote down scores on our 2 hour trip back from Levelland. I plan on doing the same thing tomorrow for our trip back from Brownfield.

15 out of the 17 remaining undefeated teams maintained their perfect records with Kirbyville and Frisco Wakeland notching their first losses of the season tonight.

WOS87. Brownfield is reporting that they are 5-0 after last night's win over Greenwood. It was reported that way in the Midland and in the Lubbock paper earlier this week.

Their 2nd game of the season with Lubbock Roosevelt was called because of lightning in the 3rd quarter. Roosevelt was ahead 8-6 at the time. I don't know if that makes it an official game or not but Brownfield sure claims that they are undefeated.

Yeah, I've got the same problem with Lamesa and Pecos as they both were behind in games the same week when they were called. I never heard what the official UIL judgement on the matter was because the rule used to be, if at least 2 quarters were completed, the game was supposed to count with the score being whatever it was when it was suspended.

And I'm pretty sure the teams that were leading in those games (Andrews, Kermit and Lubbock Roosevelt) are all claiming those as wins.

As far as my own record-keeping goes, I try to be consistent and generally go by on-the-field results no matter what in deciding wins and losses. It's a lot easier to go back and add an asterisk explaining the circumstances after the fact (whether it be a forfeit, or a suspended game)
