Just heard on Houston Sports radio 790 and read on www.aggiecoach.com that CBS Sports is reporting that unnamed high officials at A&M are wanting Fran gone. They are going over his contract in detail to move him out. Will he last the season? This pot starting to boil. More to come.

Good Grief! He led them to a great win over Texas in Austin last year and the team got to a bowl. Plus this year he has only lost one game and that is to Miami - a team that has won several national championships and just lost a close one a few years ago to Ohio State.

i think they let him finish the season, then he will be gone...maybe

but if the allegations about him turn out to be true he might be gone by next week?

Well obviously she loses her cool to easily, coaches wouldn't want that...

But truthfully she was upset, ate the guy and is now in prison...

I don't think ANY coach can convince the right mix of recruits to spend four or five of the most formative years of their life in College Station, Texas.

That's always going to be an almost insurmountable obstacle for anyone they bring in. I was reading an article just the other day about how minority enrollment efforts had stalled.

Jackie Sherrill had the Ags contending for the national championship in the Eighties, but now we know why.

your an easy man to please Phil, lol With all the talent and recruiting advantage, fan base and support, and tradition that surrounds Texas A&M they outta be a perrenial powerhouse program, but instead they are mid-pack contenders at best. No reason for that to be happening in CS, they need a coach who can take them to a BCS bowl - they have the talent to get there but not the coaching or the want to it seems sometimes....all things that can fixed or improved upon by firing fran and getting rid of that "just enough to get by" attitude. Fran's a gonner........

For one, If your $2 million dollar a year coach is selling "insider" information to $1,200 per subsription suscribing boosters to "Keep his personal website operating", you`ve got problems to start with. If he can`t manage $2 mil a year, he can`t manage the Ags. GIG EM`!

I think this is nonsense.

What's the difference in CS and Auburn, State College PA, Lincoln NE, Blacksburg VA and Gaineville FL for that matter.

Sure. I think if someone uses College Station as an obstacle to their recruiting, they are not a very good recruiter.
