Tony Haberer, former Liberty Hill great class of 05 made his first start for NAVY in the win against AirForce last week. Plays next Wed 10/10 on ESPN against Pitt.
Tony had started linebacker for LH since his freshman season. Was honorable mention All State his senior season.. Played both ways that year also at tight-end.

In his first start for NAVY made 9 tackles, 2 for a loss and a sack.

It's great to know one of "ours" is doing so well. I believe he was captain of the JV last year. Congrats, Tony! :clap:

At Navy: Enters the fall second on the depth chart at linebacker ... expected to see playing time this fall in relief of Clint Sovie and Irv Spencer ... impressed the coaches last fall with his play on the scout team ... plays with intensity ... has good speed.

2006: Did not see any varsity action.

High School / Personal: Earned four letters in football and basketball and three in track at Liberty Hill High School ... football team was 35-6 in his final three years ... named Honorable Mention All-State, All-Central Texas and district Most Valuable Player as a senior .... was a four-time First-Team All-District selection ... Tony Lee Haberer ... Born-9/27/86.

Way to go, Tony!

He played at LH with both my boys. Tony is a great kid. As polite as they come.

We are going to watch him on Nov 10 when Navy plays NT!
