On this date it was the last game in non-district for Sinton with a great record of 4-1, They ended the last game by declawing the Aransas Pass Panthers 29-0. Other victories a shocking win over Corpus Christi Calallen 20-10, the biggest rivlary Taft 37-10, and Bishop 52-0. And the only loss so far another big rivalary Refugio 20-0

While the Pirates were celebrating the victory here's what was showing on the big screen

And while we were traveling to the game here's what was playing on the charts

"Notorious" by Loverboy, "Brilliant Disquise" by Bruce Springsteen, and "I've Been In Love Before" by Cutting Crew were new and hot. While "Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake finally landed on the #1 spot knocking out "Didn't We Almost Have It All" By Whitney Houston to #2 and Bananarama's "I Heard A Rumour" jumped to #3

I remember the monsoon before the game, and that the only TD we scored was a 97-yard run with about 2 minutes left, against the reserves. The rest was utterly forgettable.:mad:

She was married to the singer and then after they divorced she married Chuck Finley from the Angels and wound up getting arrested for beating him up. :eek:

The Class Of '88 had chose "Here I Go Again" as the class song but changed it to "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" by Starship due to some of the seniors didn't like Whitesnake

Yea I thought it was pretty dumb to choose Starship , Whitesnake's song rocked good thing i was from the Class of '89 i would've been pissed if i was in that class :mad: and had to revote on the class song

After the breakup of Whitesnake he and Jimmy Paige of supergroup Led Zeppelin tag teamed on a couple of very forgetable albums. He was really trying to be a major player in the world of rock n roll, he just never quite got there. But hey, all wasn't bad, he did get a reference in Bowling for Soup's song 1985 in the form of "shakin' her ass on the hood of Whitesnake's car!" :thumbsup:
