They were cheating! They used the old Aggie trick for fishing.

They had gone out the day before and caught a bunch of fish at one place, so they painted a big, red "X" on the bottom of their boat so they could find the exact place the next day.

They should be disqualified!

The five teams had qualified for the final round by having the highest cumulative weights after the first two days of competition. Their weights were zeroed to start the last day.

Texas A&M team, $14,000 scholarship
Western Kentucky $8,000
Alabama $5,000
Wisconsin - Madison received $3,000
La. Tech took home $2,000
6th place - Wabash College $1,000;
7th place - Virginia Tech $700;
8th place - Stephen F. Austin State $600;
9th place - North Carolina State $400
10th place - Webber Internationa $300.

The championship began on Thursday of this week with a total of 83 teams from 48 schools of all sizes and conferences from across the country participating.

I actually thought it was one of those meat judging things the Corps and PPU do every year.
