A girl where I work had them in her condo. Her step son got bit on the arm! She had to have the exterminator out on Saturday. He said that the other bugs would die right away, but that Brown Recluse spiders liked to hide in blankets and they wouldn't die until they came out of hiding....

Be careful when you un-fold a blanket..:(

They are all around my house, those AND black widows!!

They don't really scare me, I am just really careful when I am somewhere that they may be.

The main thing I look for around my house is scorpions! Now THEY give me the creeps!!

I'm sure, after looking at the picture of one, that I've seen them around before. Just wasn't paying attention to what kind of spider it was, other than the fact that I wanted to stomp it.:D

lol...I have also heard that you should be careful when putting on shoes out of your closet since they like dark places.

If I grab a pair I haven't worn in awhile, I knock them around and then try to look inside :eek:

Turn em over?? The violin/guitar shape is on it's back!! The black widow is the one with the red hour glass shape on it's belly!!

when I was young, I put on some shoes from my closet and felt like a piece of paper crunched when I put them on, so I took them off and out fell a giant roach...never made that mistake again!!!

I had a relative actually die because of a Brown Recluse Bite...Took them awhile to figure out what happen, but it affected his heart and killed him

The sad thing was all the rumors that flew around..that drugs did it, that he killed himself and all that type of stuff, then it comes out a reaction to a spider bite killed him
