Maybe all of these games werent really upsets ?

Most of those teams were overrated anyway, and if you ask me the #1 did not deserve to escape with the win tonight either.

if USC plays like that the rest of the year they will have more than one loss by the end of it...

Dudes, I predicted this after the crazy Friday night high school games.

It was Halo 3 Hangover week. Those college foosball players are into video games as much or more than the high schoolers.

I think the Texas team is into more than halo 3. Way too much extracurricular activity on that team. I don't mean the legal kind either.

I believe two of these teams may have been overrated... a couple were probably caught off-guard and would not lose that game had it been played 10 more times... but the competition has gotten a lot better...

the population in this country has grown (Captain Obvious at your service) but the number of colleges hasn't had an equal growth, and also you have a lot more strength and conditioning programs etc... that these kids get involved in pre-college... so if you add all of that up more of the schools that never had great enough athletes to fully compete are now loading up with the same level of talent some of your top 10s have...

there are more quality athletes out there these days...

Upsets in the Top 25

#3 OU lost to (NR) Colorado
#4 Florida lost to (NR) Auburn
#5 West Virginia lost to #18 South Florida
#7 Texas lost to (NR) Kansas State
#10 Rutgers lost to (NR) Maryland
#13 Clemson lost to (NR) Georgia Tech
#21 Penn State lost to (NR) Illinois
#22 Alabama lost to (NR) Florida State

Other losses in the Top 25
#6 Cal beat #11 Oregon

Top 25 Scares
#1 USC 27, (NR) Washington 24
#9 Wisconsin 37, (NR) Michigan State 34
#12 Boston College 24, I-AA UMass 14 (UMass scored 14 unanswered points in the fourth to bring it within three with less than six minutes to play)
#17 Virginia Tech 17, (NR) North Carolina 10

Half of the top ten lost, four of them to unranked teams, and three others won by a combined nine points. Wow. At least Cal played a team that was knocking on the door of the top ten.

Well, I spoke with one of the trainers and was told that McCoy and Lokey had to go to the locker room and get hooked up to an IV and have leetsauce pumped into their veins.

Too little too late!
